Welcome All!!

We want to run a speed dating event as soon as possible, to get the society rolling, but to do that we need to become a uni society. At the moment not many people have signed up. In order to become a university society, and hence advertise to the main student body we need at least 25 people. Get all your friends involved, it's more fun than revision and more honest about the flirting than Facebook ;o)

11th April: Spring is here! But not everyone has the benefit of SotonRomance.org.uk. Yet. To help them find out, we're going to run an advertising campaign. If you have a creative idea for an advert (either posters or facebook), and it's good enough, we'll pay to run it. Please send ideas to Cupid.

14th January: This is why SotonRomance.org.uk is so important: the Drake equation ;-)

22nd April 2009: In the 21st century at last: using UTF-8 by default instead of Latin-1. If your advert contains special characters (such as ä), you may need to correct them. Delete the erroneous glyph and retype it; if there are problems, tell Cupid.
Various new features and tweaks. Search is much improved: try it. Feedback welcome (especially any CSS designers!). Firefox and Safari users may enjoy a more well-rounded experience.

2nd March 2009: Welcome to the NEW SouthamptonRomance! This site has just been started (it's an offshoot of romance.ucam.org / oxfordromance.org.uk .) We hope you enjoy it! Please create an account - it may take a few weeks to reach "critical mass". Also, tell your friends. If you have any comments, please tell us. If you are about to lose your email address, then it is all-too-soon the time to say 'goodbye'. Please close your account before it starts to deluge Cupid with email bounces. However, we'd like to introduce GraduateRomance.org.uk, just for you! Please keep in touch, and we'd especially like to hear from you if you have a testimonial for us. Good luck!
